There are hundreds of different shape and sized dampers in masonry fireplaces.

There are just as many handles, rods, knobs that you operate to open and close your damper.

In some cases, I can clean out the track that the damper sits in, make adjustments, or clean off the smoke shelf to allow your damper to work as it was originally intended.

In cases where the original damper is unable to be removed, we then opt for chimney cap/ damper unit installation.
